Chapter 23

I took his hand; his was warm and firm as he placed the other on the small of my back, sending a cascade of warmth through my entire body. We began to sway to the rhythm of the music, our bodies moving together as if we had been dancing like this for years. It felt so good, and there were no eyes on us—just the sound of the waves crashing against the shore and the soft melody from the live band. I felt completely free, happy, and warm, cocooned in this perfect moment with the man who had somehow become my entire world.

And then the dinner arrived. We ate, exchanging happy, loving looks across the table, simply enjoying each other's company as the candlelight flickered between us. When the main course was over, I ordered dessert—a decadent chocolate creation that looked almost too beautiful to eat. He picked up a spoon and fed me a bite, his eyes watching me intently as I closed my eyes, savoring the delicious sweetness that melted on my tongue.

When I opened them, his eyes were focused intently on my lips, his gaze so intense it made my breath catch.

"There's a little something on the side of your mouth," he said, his voice low and husky.

And then he leaned in, his lips meeting mine as he gently licked the corner of my mouth, making it clean. I shivered at the intimate gesture, my body responding to his touch with an immediacy that both surprised and excited me.

"So delicious. Give me another bite," he murmured against my lips.

I picked up the spoon to feed him, but he stopped me with a hand on my wrist, his touch gentle but firm.

"No, not with the spoon," he said, his eyes dark with desire.

I took another bite of the dessert and then leaned in, pressing my lips to his in a sweet, lingering kiss. I wasn't sure if he was tasting the dessert or me, but he didn't let me go until I was breathless, his hands tangling in my hair as he deepened the kiss.

"Finish this dessert. Then I have to eat my dessert, too," he said when we finally parted, his breathing as unsteady as mine.

I didn't quite understand him.

"Should I order one for you?" I asked, my mind still hazy from the intensity of his kiss.

He just laughed, a deep, warm sound that vibrated through his chest. He looked at me, his eyes slowly scanning every inch of me with an unmistakable hunger. Then, I finally understood. The dessert he meant... was me.

After eating, we took a walk on the beach, the cool sand soft under our feet as the waves lapped gently at the shore. Our hands were wrapped around each other, fingers intertwined, walking side by side in comfortable silence under the moonlight that painted the water in shades of silver and blue.

I turned towards him, my head resting on his shoulder, breathing in his scent that mixed with the salty air.

"Thank you for today," I murmured, my voice soft with emotion.

"You don't have to thank me, Miss Aahana. Just give me one of your smiles, and I would do all of this again in a heartbeat," he replied, his thumb stroking the back of my hand gently.

"When did you plan all of this?" I asked, marveling at the thoughtfulness of every detail.

"I've wanted to do this for a long time, but I was... afraid to ask. And ever since that night at the bar, I've just wanted to hold you like this," he admitted, his voice vulnerable in a way I hadn't heard before.

"Afraid to ask? You don't exactly seem like the shy type," I teased, looking up at him with a playful smile.

"I'm just not shy in front of you," he said, his eyes darkening with emotion as he came closer, his hands sliding around my waist to pull me flush against him.

"Whenever you touch me, something ignites in me, and that shy self gets thrown right out of the window," he confessed, his voice husky against my ear.

I reached up, my fingers tracing the line of his neck before gently brushing over his lips.

"I don't know... you look like you're blushing to me," I said with a playful smile, pointing out the faint redness on his cheeks that contradicted his bold words.

He chuckled and hid his face in the crook of my neck, his breath warm against my skin. After a few deep breaths, he pressed a soft kiss to my skin, then gently nibbled a spot, leaving a dark mark that would be a secret reminder of this night.

"And you, Miss Aahana... you were always teasing me. Where is that girl now? You act so timid and nervous around me," he whispered against my neck, his words sending shivers down my spine.

It was true. Because when he looks at me like this, I lose all control over myself.

"Because whenever I tease you, I end up being punished," I admitted softly, my cheeks heating at the memory.

A slow, dangerous smile spread across his face as he looked down at me, his eyes glinting in the moonlight.

"And don't you like being punished?"

How could I deny it? I loved it when he stripped away my control, when he made me surrender to him completely. It was the most thrilling, liberating feeling in the world.

"I do," I whispered, my voice a soft admission, full of unspoken desire.

"Then tease me more, so I have an excuse to punish you more often," he murmured against my lips.

I blushed instantly, a deep crimson heat flooding my cheeks as my mind raced, replaying memories of his hands and his mouth, imagining all the things he might do to me next. He leaned in closer, his warm breath fanning my lips. I met him halfway, my eyes fluttering closed as I pouted slightly, waiting for the kiss I knew was coming. Instead, he chuckled softly and pressed his lips to my cheek in a sweet, tender gesture that somehow felt more intimate than a kiss on the mouth.

The weekend seemed to melt away in a perfect haze of those moments—sweet laughter on the beach and passionate intensity back at the hut. But all too soon, Monday morning arrived with its harsh, blaring alarm.
